Sept 2024. Reimagine Mendota and the Hispanic Partnership hosted Amigo Fest to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and both the Hispanic and American culture. The event started with the procession of flags and singing of both national anthems, followed by two bands, games, and food. About 800 people attended.

Feb. 8 2024. The Carroll family donated $10,000 to Reimagine Mendota through Starved Rock Country Community Foundation. The donation will help provide a foundation for future funding needs for city development and revitalization. The project the donation funded will be one of those identified by Mendota residents.

May 2024. 8th grade students hosted a Movie Night for Middle School Students. This was decided after conducting a full Community Heart and Soul (CH&S) project...surveys, interviews,, data sorting, prioritizing, and community vote. Students then planned, promoted, and hosted. More than 200 students enjoyed the movie. Great job students!
